I know there’s a much wider problem regarding this but I genuinely think Instagram is one of the main causes for a lot of body issues and mental health issues.

And I know there’s been a pushback recently against “modelling/influencer” Instagram with good looking people sitting awkwardly to show that most of their pictures are just good lighting and posing.

Too many people in my life have been pushed to the mental health brink by going down the rabbit hole of Instagram. An ex of mine started to compile a list of ‘body problems’ she had to solve - everything from a nose job to getting her jaw filed down.

Even if people don’t interact with *any* of these influencers posting photoshopped or heavily filtered images - they come up en masse in the explore feature.

This is just a mini-rant but it’s totally shite to see and I hate how powerless folk are when it comes to tackling instagram’s problems.

Particularly after the year everyone has had, anyone posting about getting ‘post-lockdown body ready’ needs to shut the fuck up.
